KanAm Grund Group: Alexandre André heads Investment Management France

Alexandre André (33) has joined the team of KanAm Grund Group in Paris as Director and Head of Investment Management France at the end of July. In the newly created position André is responsible for the Acquisitions Department in France. He will be focusing especially on value add investments and new categories of use like living or logistics. KanAm Grund Group takes up the wish of many investors to be offered more properties with development potential in addition to core and core plus properties. Alexandre André reports to Alexia K. Jaeger, Senior Director and Head of Investment and Asset Management France.

Alexandre André has more than ten years of experience in the fields of real estate, financial analysis and property acquisition and sales. Before joining KanAmGrund Group, he held the position of Associate Director at Catalyst Capital. His tasks included developing and implementing new investment projects as well as disposal management in several European markets. In the past, he worked for Constructa Asset Management as Investment manager with a particular focus, inter alia, on identifying and capturing real estate investment opportunities on behalf of clients. In addition, he was responsible for due diligence processes in connection with transactions. As Investment Analyst at Keops-Colliers International and Merger and Acquisitions Analyst at Sorbonne Finance/Fiteco CF, Alexandre André gained broad experience in asset and portfolio evaluation, preparation of financial and strategy analyses, and market research across a broad range of sectors and asset classes. 
Alexandre André graduated as a master from INSEEC School of Business and Economics in Paris, France, and he holds a master’s degree in hedge funds and corporate finance from American Intercontinental University in London, United Kingdom. 

France plays an important role in KanAm Grund Group’s investment strategy
France has always played an important role in the investment strategy of KanAm Grund Group. Around a third of the current transaction volume comes from France. The Paris property market is the biggest in Europe, with strong demand from investors and tenants in addition to high liquidity. In June of this year, the Scope Rating 2022 attested KanAm Grund Group, among other things, a very high level of expertise in transaction and asset management in the office markets of Western European metropolitan areas – especially Paris and London – as well as in Germany and North America. In May 2022, KanAm Grund Institutional purchased the Opéra Italiens property in Paris for the KanAm Grund European Cities, a specialized institutional real estate fund. This was the 88th transaction in France. The office building has an area of 7,543 square meters and is located in Paris’ Opéra district, the heart of the financial industry in the French capital’s city center. Long-term tenant of the building is WeWork Paris I Tenant SAS, a leading company of the co-working industry.
