Dimitar Dimitrov strengthens Investment Management Europe team at KanAm Grund Group

Dimitar Dimitrov (38) has joined the KanAm Grund Group's Investment Management Europe team as Associate Director at the beginning of May. In his new position, he will assume responsibility over the Group's investment activities in the Nordics. He reports to Anthony Bull-Diamond, Head of Investment and Asset Management Europe and Managing Director at KanAm Grund Real Estate Asset Management GmbH.

He is a great addition to our team, not least because of his many years of deep transactional experience. With his support, we will strengthen our ability to further source and transact compelling investment opportunities on behalf of our investors for example in Copenhagen, Stockholm or Helsinki. Following our first investment in the Nordics in 2019, we have successfully transacted close to EUR 700 million across the core, core+ and value-add spectrum. We are actively seeking to take advantage of re-adjusted pricing and further expand our footprint in the region."

Dimitar Dimitrov has over 13 years of experience in the real estate industry, which he gained in various positions at Deka Immobilien Investment GmbH. Most recently, as Head of UK & Ireland, he was responsible for the acquisitions and sales of properties for various Deka and WestInvest funds. Prior to that, he was active in the Americas, UK & Ireland and also Asia-Pacific markets. His track record includes, in addition to acquisitions and sales of over EUR 4 billion in transaction volume (with more than 50 transactions), the entry into new markets and the establishment of new partnerships and business networks, the acquisition of seed properties for newly established funds, various forms of club deals & joint ventures, forward deals as well as the execution of complex deal structures across all asset classes.
Dimitar Dimitrov holds a master's degree in Mathematics and Business Mathematics and a bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the Technical University of Darmstadt.
